We have listed breeders who promise to accept and to follow AMDCA’s Code of Ethics. We link health tests and other information for the listed animals. All these breeders welcome your inquiries. Please feel free to contact them directly about their Appenzeller breeding programs.
Be cautious when entering a contract with a breeder who is not on this list. Inquire about health testing, health issues, temperament, and breeding programs. Ask for copies of documented health tests. Feel free to check with AMDCA ([email protected]) whether they are currently an AMDCA member.
Despite our screening efforts, all breeding agreements, stud contracts, and puppy or dog placements are directly between the buyers and sellers, and AMDCA is not party to any of these agreements. AMDCA makes no warranties, expressed or implied, as to the condition of any animals or stud services being offered for sale, standards or practices of any breeder, or the quality or temperament of their animals. Breeders and puppy buyers are responsible for and thoroughly encouraged to research all matters before making any decisions or purchases or entering any contracts.
